The Blue Ridge Rangers is the first solo album by John Fogerty, the former lead singer and lead guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was released by Fantasy Records in 1973 as by "The Blue Ridge Rangers." The reason Fogerty chose to issue the album under The Blue Ridge Rangers name was to put some distance between himself and the Creedence legacy he wore like an albatross. The LP was later reissued as by John Fogerty with a different cover design.
